On June 8, the reporter of Caijing learned the above information from the "Opinions of the People's Government of Guangdong Province on Accelerating the Development of the LED Industry (Draft for Comment)" (hereinafter referred to as "Opinions").
The "Opinions" mentioned that by 2015, Guangdong will build a global LED packaging center and the largest production and application base.
According to the "Opinions", from July 2010 to June 2011, Guangdong will provide subsidies in accordance with 30% of the price of approved LED lamps. The total subsidy is about 300 million yuan, and each city does not exceed 50 million yuan. From July 2011 to June 2012, according to the 20% subsidy of LED lamps, the total subsidy is about 200 million yuan, and each city does not exceed 30 million yuan. From July 2012 to June 2013, it will be subsidized at 10% of the price of LED lamps, and each city will not exceed 20 million yuan.
The Caijing reporter was informed that the above-mentioned subsidies were selected as cities for the demonstration projects of lighting products in Guangdong.
The "Opinions" also proposed the goal of Guangdong's LED industry to "double in one year, three years of development, and a five-year leap." According to the plan, by 2012, the total output value of Guangdong LED and related industries will exceed 300 billion yuan, and the number of enterprises with an output value exceeding 1 billion yuan will reach more than 50.
At present, the industrial scale of Guangdong LED is the largest in China, with more than 2,600 LED companies. In 2009, the total output value reached 39 billion yuan, with a growth rate of over 25%.
