In order to speed up the LiFi market, Scottish wireless optical communication company pureLiFi has recently cooperated with French LED lighting product supplier Lucibel to develop the first commercial LiFi luminaire in Europe. The technology of pureLiFi is applied to Lucibel's LED lighting luminaire to reduce communication and The cost of integrating lighting services into a single infrastructure while improving the overall performance of security, location and wireless communication systems is expected to be available in the third quarter of 2016.
pureLiFi Chief Operating Officer Harald Burchardt said that pureLiFi and Lucibel will be able to provide pureLiFi with an important pipeline for launch and to promote long-term infrastructure. Many data show that LiFi is rapidly evolving from emerging technologies to real-life applications across multiple industries.
On the other hand, Lucibel Chairman and CEO Frédéric Granotier believes that by partnering with pureLiFi, Lucibel can provide customer communication solutions that add new value to lighting solutions.

It is reported that the first LiFi lighting equipment will be installed at the Sogeprom headquarters in La Defense, Paris. Sogeprom is a subsidiary of Societe Generale, which provides customers with the next generation of wireless networking via LiFi.
