Japanese lighting manufacturers launch straight tube LED lights

The lighting fair “Lighting Fair 2011” was opened on March 8, 2011 at the Tokyo International Convention and Exhibition Center (as of the 11th). In terms of the number of exhibitors using LED lighting fixtures and light sources, there has been a slight change from the previous (Lighting Fair 2009 held in 2009) and the “LED Next Stage 2010” held in 2010. This is why large-scale lighting manufacturers in Japan have exhibited straight-tube LED lamps designed to replace straight-tube fluorescent lamps.

These products are in compliance with the specifications of the "Direct Tube Type LED Lamp System (for General Lighting) with L-Pin Lamp Port and GX16t-5 Lamp Port" (JEL801:2010), which was developed by the Japan Bulb Industry Association in October 2010. Before the specification was made, the straight tube type LED lamps were basically G13 lamps that were directly connected to the straight tube type fluorescent lamps. The exhibitors exhibited products from overseas manufacturers and Japanese small and medium-sized manufacturers. The main lighting manufacturers in Japan were The production of the G13 lamp straight tube LED lamp was postponed.

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., which quickly began offering JEL801:2010 specifications, said at the product launch conference on March 8, 2011 that the “order quantity of the product has greatly exceeded expectations” (Song Yinbang, Managing Director of Matsushita Electric Works and Director of the Lighting Business Division) ). At the lighting exhibition site, in addition to Matsushita Electric, Japan's major manufacturers Toshiba Lighting Technology, Hitachi Appliances, NEC Lighting and Mitsubishi Electric Osram also exhibited products that support JEL801:2010 specifications. In addition, in the new companies involved in the LED lighting business, Roma and the Chamber of Commerce also publicly displayed products that support the JEL801:2010 specification.

The JEL801:2010 specification product exhibited by the Chamber of Commerce is the same as other LED lighting fixtures of the company, which are manufactured by FAWOO Technology of Korea. At present, the power module for JEL801:2010 specification products is being processed through the Japanese "Electrical Supplies Safety Law (PSE)" certification, and it is expected to be sold immediately after passing the PSE certification. The company is also engaged in the G13 lamp straight tube LED lamp business, but there are many consultations on JEL801:2010 specifications.

In addition to supporting JEL801:2010 specifications, Mitsubishi Electric and OSRAM's booth also exhibited a new straight tube type LED lamp system that is being developed by the Japan Bulb Industry Association. This product uses a G13 lamp port, but the lamp port is only used to fix the bulb, and the lamp is powered by a special connector.
