Philips Lumileds and Jade Crystal Optoelectronics (GSEO) announced on October 12, 2009 that GSEO is working with LUXEON Rebel to develop new solid-state lighting and street lighting modules for use across China's roads. GSEO's new street lights will be put into installation in early 2010. GSEO's state-of-the-art streetlight LED specifications (using LUXEON Rebel technology) focus on reliability, efficiency, ease of integration, and heat dissipation, all of which make their solid-state lighting solutions less costly and less energy consuming than traditional lighting.
By choosing a proven, reliable power LED, GSEO engineers created a design that: 70 lumens per watt, requires the fewest LEDs, effectively reduces or eliminates dazzling glare that can cause visual disturbances.
The company's patented thermal design ensures the lifetime performance of LUXEON Rebel LEDs. In fact, its cooling system guarantees the service life of this product.
