The ADA4805-1 is a high speed voltage feedback rail-to-rail output amplifier with excellent quiescent current performance down to 495 μA, making it ideal for low power, high resolution data conversion systems. Despite its low power consumption, the amplifier still provides excellent overall performance. The device features a high bandwidth of 105 MHz (gain of 1), a high slew rate of 160 V/μs, and a low input offset voltage of 125 μV

Figure 2 shows a typical 16-bit single-supply application. The ADA4805-1/ADA4805-2 drive the AD7980, a 16-bit, 1 MSPS, SAR ADC with a low-power configuration. The AD7980 operates from a 2.5 V supply and supports 0 V to VREF inputs. In this example, the ADR435 provides a 5 V reference. The ADA4805-1/ADA4805-2 are used as drivers for the AD7980 and as reference buffers for the ADR435. A low-pass filter consisting of R3 and C1 reduces the noise at the input of the ADC (see Figure 2). In lower frequency applications, designers can reduce the corner frequency of the filter and eliminate additional noise
