Aixtron announced that its existing customer, Epistar, has received its first 19x4 inch CRIUS(r) II-XL system, which has been successfully commissioned and tested. The system is planned for mass production of Ultra-High Brightness blue LED products.
According to the customer's usual procedures, Epistar will conduct large-scale production testing of the system. Epistar plans to purchase more CRIUS(r) II-XL systems after expanding capacity. Epistar said that the first CRIUS(r) II-XL system can be used to greatly increase production capacity and drive future capacity expansion and technology upgrades.
