Microsoft's latest report said that nearly half of computer infections are caused by users

October 14 news, according to foreign media reports, Microsoft released the first half of 2011 security intelligence report, said that only 5.6% of malware infections caused by security vulnerabilities, 45% due to users themselves.

According to reports, there are an average of 9.8 computers infected per thousand worldwide. Malware was infected with USB's "auto-run" feature, which accounted for 26% of the total, and file spread was 4.4%. Password attacks and Office document infections accounted for 1.7% and 0.3%, respectively.

The number of infected computers in the United Kingdom has dropped. From 4,000 infections per 1,000 units in the third quarter of 2010 to 5.2 infections per 1,000 units in the second quarter of this year. Malicious adware infections accounted for 49.1%, malicious Trojan horse software infections accounted for 31.9%, up 5%. Another 27.9% were infected with "potentially unwanted software."

The top ten malwares that contain Trojan horses are: Win32/FakeRean sixth, Alureon tenth. ZeuS was included in the top ten malware in 2010 and was replaced by Conficker in 2011.

The Microsoft Security Intelligence Report data comes from 100 countries using the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool, which exceeds 600 million systems.
