As Bob Merriman, Avnet’s Business Development Manager, explains, entrepreneurs often juggle multiple projects across different technologies and industries, making the development process long and complex. While creating a product may be manageable, getting it to market remains one of the biggest challenges.
Hardware Studio helps bridge this gap by offering practical tools and insights into cost structures and market strategies. With the support of Dragon Innovation, Avnet is expanding its reach to help businesses of all sizes — from independent creators to large corporations — reduce the risks associated with tech project development and increase their chances of success.
Last year, Avnet expanded its global presence by acquiring Premier Farnell (including the element14 community) and Hackster.io, reaching over 2 million customers and 750,000 entrepreneurs, makers, and engineers worldwide. In August, Avnet further strengthened its position by acquiring Dragon Innovation, aiming to improve the efficiency of new product development, especially in the fast-growing Internet of Things (IoT) space.
