Conversion control based on SS3323 three-way adjustable regulated power supply

A DC regulated power supply is an electronic device designed to provide a stable direct current (DC) voltage or current to a load. Although it typically receives AC power as input, the regulator ensures that the output remains constant regardless of fluctuations in the input voltage or changes in the load resistance. Today, we’ll explore the working principles of the SS3323 three-way adjustable DC regulated power supply, a versatile and reliable tool used in various electronic applications. The SS3323 three-way adjustable DC stabilized power supply offers multiple functions, including voltage regulation, constant current control, continuous adjustability, overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection, automatic recovery, and built-in voltage/current auto-switching. It also features internal series and parallel connection circuits, making it highly adaptable for different power requirements. The system consists of several key components: a transformer, conversion controller, rectifier filter, auxiliary power supply circuit, reference limiter circuit, voltage/current comparator, sampling circuit, emergency overload protector, and a linear regulator. A detailed block diagram of the SS3323 circuit is shown in Figure 2.1, illustrating its complex yet efficient design. The operation of the SS3323 begins with range switching control, which is managed by a conversion controller. This controller regulates the actions of relays K1 and K2, allowing the power supply to switch between different voltage ranges. As the output voltage varies, the analog-to-digital converter sends corresponding signals, which in turn control the relays and adjust the input voltage to the rectifier filter accordingly. Next is the voltage regulation and constant current control mechanism. The voltage/current comparator plays a crucial role in maintaining a stable output. During voltage regulation, the voltage comparator takes precedence. When the input voltage or load changes, the output voltage fluctuates. This change is detected through a sampling circuit and compared against a reference value. The comparator amplifies the difference and adjusts the linear regulator to restore the output voltage to its original level. When the load increases beyond the preset current limit, the voltage across the sampling resistor rises. This signal is sent to the inverting input of the current comparator, where it is compared with a pre-set reference at the non-inverting input. If the current exceeds the limit, the comparator outputs a low signal, triggering the linear regulator to limit the current and protect both the power supply and the connected device. In the constant current mode, the current comparator becomes the primary control element. When the load reaches the set constant current threshold, the circuit transitions from voltage regulation to current regulation. The operational process during this phase is similar to the overcurrent protection mechanism during voltage regulation, ensuring consistent and safe performance under varying conditions. Overall, the SS3323 three-way adjustable DC regulated power supply is a sophisticated device that combines precision, safety, and flexibility, making it ideal for laboratory testing, industrial applications, and electronics development.
