SMD802 is an efficient PWM LED constant current driving application designed to use IC , the input voltage can be directly rectified and filtered by the mains supply, up to 450V DC ; the programmable high frequency MOSFET can be driven by the programmable frequency up to 300KHz ; the external sampling resistor sets the load current from 10mA To 1A ; it can also provide low frequency grayscale PWM dimming function, it is recommended to design 200Hz-1KHz .
The SMD802 is a low-cost, step-down, step-up, buck-boost control chip that is ideally suited for driving multiple strings of LEDs or LED arrays. The chip is suitable for both global AC input and 8-450V DC input. In the case of AC input, in order to improve the power factor, the current energy-saving lamp line can be cited. When the input power is less than 25W , it is easy to add a passive power factor correction circuit to the line.
SMD802 can drive hundreds of high-brightness LEDs in series or strings of high-brightness LEDs . These LEDs can be designed in a series or series-parallel combination. By adjusting the constant current value, LED brightness and spectrum can be ensured . It is characterized in that the enable pin PWM_D can adjust the brightness of the LED by means of pulse width modulation ( PWM ) , and also serves as an enable end. When the end is suspended, the chip has no output control. It can also control the brightness (also called linear dimming) by continuously adjusting the output current of the LED through the LD terminal linear voltage regulation .
The SMD 802 can control all converters including isolated/non-isolated, continuous/discontinuous, and the like. When the GATE terminal outputs a high level to drive an external power MOSFET , the LED driver will store the input energy to the inductor or the primary inductance of the transformer, depending on the type of converter, possibly storing energy and transferring part of the energy directly to the LED string. When the power MOSFET is turned off, the energy stored on the magnetic element is converted into the drive current of the LED string. (Working in Flybac mode). Available in SO8 and DIP8 packages.
