Shen Shihong said that high-efficiency energy-saving streetlights should not be replaced by townships and cities, and Taiwan Power should replace them. In the future, by improving energy efficiency, the power consumption will not only grow to zero, but it should also aim at the growth of electricity. He explained that in the past, Taipower had only charged the cost of street lamps for townships and towns. It was almost a loss-making subsidy for townships and towns to light up. However, if you use a power-saving bulb, you can save 60% of electricity costs. It is estimated that Taipower can save one power plant each year. The amount of electricity generated, which can reduce the cost of outsourced fuel for electricity generation by more than 60 billion yuan, encourages the development of energy-saving industries and improves the green economy.
