How to Prevent Electronic Scales from Being Cheated
Many customers have reported that their electronic platform scales are often targeted by dishonest individuals. Here's a detailed guide on how to protect your equipment and ensure accurate measurements.
(1) For the exposed meter bus on the floor scale, it is essential to cover it with a lead or iron pipe. The instrument should be properly shielded to enhance its resistance against interference, which can effectively prevent hidden cheating. This also protects the wiring from physical damage and makes it easier to detect any tampering. Even if the cables are damaged, it will be noticeable and easy to trace.
(2) It is important to establish strict work procedures and ensure all operators maintain a strong sense of responsibility. Daily checks should be conducted to inspect the instrument, the surrounding area, and the sensor lines for any signs of damage or foreign objects. This helps in maintaining the integrity of the scale.
(3) When using the weighbridge, if an abnormal reading is detected, special attention must be given. You can compare the results with adjacent scales using multiple weighing methods to check for consistency. Ensure there are no foreign objects near the scale body. After the vehicle has fully settled, check if the display returns to zero. If not, the scale may be malfunctioning and should be immediately taken out of service for inspection and repair before being used again.
(4) Regular calibration of measuring instruments is crucial. If the scale is used frequently, the verification frequency can be increased accordingly. This allows early detection of issues and timely repairs, ensuring continuous and accurate operation.
