Recently, Texas Instruments (TI), Advantech (TWSE: 2395.TW) and eInfochips jointly announced the HTTP Real-Time Streaming (HLS) protocol stack for high-performance video streaming application server deployment. The solution not only supports internal and external transcoding, but also supports multiple file packaging formats, screen resolutions and frame rates. Developed by eInfochips based on Advantech's DSPC-8681 PCIe card, it uses four TI-based KeyStone-based TMS320C6678 multi-core digital signal processors (DSPs).
