STN screen

STN (Super Twisted Nematic) screen, also known as super twisted nematic liquid crystal display screen. A color filter is added to a conventional monochrome liquid crystal display, and each pixel in the monochrome display matrix is divided into three pixels. The three primary colors of red, green, and blue are respectively displayed through a color filter, thereby achieving color display. The effect is mainly light green and orange. The STN screen belongs to a reflective LCD, which has the advantages of low power consumption but poor definition in a relatively dark environment.
STN is also the type of material that we have come into contact with most. At present, there are mainly CSTN and DSTN. It belongs to passive matrix LCD devices, so it consumes less power and saves power, but it should be slower than 200 ms.
CSTN generally adopts the transmission lighting method, and it must use external light source lighting, which is called backlighting, and the lighting light source should be installed behind the LCD.
