TDK introduces new EPCOS aluminum electrolytic capacitors: highly compact design of the soldering series

The TDK Group has launched a new series of two-terminal Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors from EPCOS, namely the B43640* and B43644*. These capacitors are designed with an ultra-compact form factor, offering a smaller size compared to previous models with similar voltage and capacitance ratings. The dimensions range from 22 x 25 mm to 35 x 55 mm (diameter x height), making them ideal for space-constrained applications. Both series feature exceptional ripple current handling capabilities, ensuring reliable performance in high-demand environments. The B43640* series operates at voltages between 200 V DC and 450 V DC, with capacitance values ranging from 82 μF to 3300 μF. It offers a continuous operating life of up to 2000 hours at 105°C. On the other hand, the B43644* series is suitable for higher voltage ranges, from 200 V DC to 500 V DC, with capacitances from 39 μF to 2700 μF, and can operate continuously for up to 5000 hours at 105°C. Thanks to their compact design, these capacitors are well-suited for use as link capacitors in compact inverters, photovoltaic inverters, and industrial power supplies.
