Britain encourages employment on solar energy

Recently, the relevant government encouragement measures announced by the British government stimulated the demand for solar panels, and in 2010 the employment opportunities for solar energy increased by 75%.

In April this year, the United Kingdom announced the guarantee of renewable energy prices. These on-grid tariffs are almost 10 times the market price, resulting in a solar panel installed capacity of 4.6 megawatts. Far more than the installation completed in 2009.

Sharp, Japan's largest solar cell manufacturer, owns the largest solar cell factory in the United Kingdom. To further respond to increasing demand, Sharp plans to increase production at its UK plant.
