Intelligent Lighting Control System Design for Office Buildings

Lighting in modern buildings not only requires good visual conditions for people's work, study, and life, but also uses lighting styling and light colors to create an indoor environment with a certain style and beauty, satisfying people's physiological and psychological requirements, and also considering To manage intelligent, simple operation, flexible and easy to expand and other needs.

At present, most buildings still use traditional lighting control methods, and some smart buildings only implement simple regional lighting and time switch functions. In contrast, the intelligent lighting control system reflects a strong advantage, not only can meet the lighting needs in modern architecture, improve the quality of the lighting environment, but also can take full advantage of intelligent control to save energy, so that buildings are more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. This paper takes the office building as an example to expound the author's design idea of intelligent lighting control system.

I. Project Overview and System Requirements Analysis

The office building is located in Chengdu High-tech Zone, with a construction area of about 6,000 square meters, 8 floors above ground, and 2 floors underground. The smart lighting control area of the building includes a large bay office and a small area office, lobby, conference room, lounge, activity room, corridor and so on. The control requirements of the system are high, and all the lighting of the office building can be fully automated. The manual and automatic control modes can be flexibly switched; the lighting control mode can be set according to the needs of each specific application area; each meeting room is preset. Lighting scenes to meet the needs of different occasions. Therefore, the ABBi-bus intelligent lighting control system was adopted in the design of the project, and modern control, computer, network and communication technologies were applied to the control and management of lighting, which can satisfy the functional requirements and achieve flexible control. The purpose of energy conservation.

Second, the implementation of intelligent lighting system project

The intelligent lighting control system design of office buildings is mainly divided into two parts: preliminary design and control system design. The control method adopts the bus system control method, mainly distributed intelligent control, and cooperates with the central centralized control. The preliminary design of the lighting system is based on the national lighting design standards to determine the illuminance of different rooms and places of office buildings, the selection of light sources and fixtures, and the circuit load calculation; the design of the control system is based on the preliminary design of lighting, and is for the entire lighting system. The control method is designed to use the ABBi-bus intelligent lighting control system.

1 control system topology

The intelligent lighting control system uses ABB's i-bus form. The bus-type control combines the characteristics of central centralized control and distributed intelligent control. It is mainly distributed intelligent control and cooperates with central centralized control. When the local module fails, the central control computer can control the loop where it is located, and the loss can be reduced. To the minimum. All drivers are connected by i-bus bus cable. The driver can execute the control commands sent by each controller (distributed control). It can also be directly controlled by the i-bus central control computer through LAN and IP gateway. Through the LAN, the entire intelligent lighting control system can be connected with the building automation system to achieve the effect of system integration.

2 control strategy implementation

There are many rooms and places in the office building, and the functions are various. Only diversified lighting control methods can meet the design requirements, such as manual panel-on-site control, light sensor control, motion sensing control, infrared remote control, timing control, scene control, and central control. .

Public area

The public area is powered by 19 circuits for the halls, corridors, and elevators. The i-bus central control computer is used for centralized control, and lighting fixtures are controlled according to different working days, days of rest, holidays, etc. to make management. Simple, to prevent forgetting lights off. The entrance hall of the building uses a brightness sensor to control the light and darkness of the light and use natural light as much as possible. At the same time, the office area and the public area can coordinate work. For example, when employees in the office area work overtime, the lights in public areas such as elevator halls and hallways maintain basic brightness. Only when the people in the office area finishes walking, can the lights be reduced to a safe state or turned off, to avoid unnecessary waste of electric energy.

Comprehensive meeting room

The integrated conference room adopts scene mode control. A total of 11 circuits are provided to implement the conversion of attendance scenes, projection scenes, rest scenes, and breakout scenes. The EIB touch screen or i-bus central control computer can be used to control various display devices such as switch modules, dimming modules, and projectors. At the same time, the infrared remote control is an extension of the scene mode control, and the EIB touch screen is remotely controlled through the infrared remote controller. The scene mode design facilitates the use of the user and saves energy while embodying the intelligent lighting control.

lounge

The difference between the lounge and the general place is its low frequency of use. According to the special nature of the lounge, infrared motion detectors are used to detect personnel access signals to control lighting fixtures. The infrared motion detector detects that someone has entered the detection range, the signal is sent to the opening and closing controller, and the lighting device opening command is executed. If there is no one in the sensor detection range, the lighting device is turned off. This mode effectively reduces lighting costs.

Office area

The general office area mainly considers energy saving and adopts time control and illumination detection and control. The office is close to the side of the window and uses the natural light outside the window as much as possible to compensate for the illumination. The illuminance sensor detects natural light. Luminaires close to the windows automatically switch on or off as the natural light changes, ensuring the uniformity and balance of the indoor lighting. In addition, the high-level office uses electric curtains to demonstrate the level of intelligence while emphasizing the grade, and can use the remote control and the smart panel for control at the same time. Diversified control modes provide customers with more choices and more convenience.

3 Integration with BA System

ABB i-bus system has the characteristics and openness of distributed intelligent control, and provides interfaces and software protocols connected with BA system (including closed-circuit monitoring, fire alarm, and security system) to facilitate a complete building automation system. Realize the intelligent management of buildings and the linkage between subsystems. This project ensures data exchange and sharing with the BA system of the entire building through an IP gateway (1G/S) while ensuring that the intelligent lighting system operates independently.

The application of ABB i-bus intelligent lighting control system in office buildings provides an effective way for energy conservation and environmental protection while improving the quality of architectural lighting environment. Intelligent lighting control has attracted people's great attention. The level of intelligent lighting system will be developed in the direction of intelligence and standardization, which will make the system more optimized, the functions more perfect, the protection more reliable, and the energy saving more efficient.
