Fujian, the major province of energy saving lamps in mainland China, exported 640 million energy-saving lamps in the first 10 months of this year, an increase of 53% over the same period of last year; it was worth 710 million US dollars, an increase of 38.3%.

According to statistics released by the Fuzhou Customs on the 29th, in the first eight months of this year, the export volume of Fujian's energy-saving lamps continued to increase by more than 30% for eight consecutive months, of which 70 million were exported in July, a year-on-year increase of 52.9%, the highest in the year.

The data shows that the United States and the European Union are the major export markets for Fujian energy-saving lamps. In the first 10 months, Fujian exported 230 million energy-saving lamps to the United States, an increase of 59.8%, accounting for 36.1% of the total exports of energy-saving lamps in Fujian during the same period; exports to the EU were 110 million, an increase of 27.1%, accounting for 17% of the total for the same period. In addition, exports to Russia were 60 million, an increase of 2.9 times.

Fuzhou Customs officials pointed out that energy conservation is the future development trend of the global lighting industry. In recent years, the European Union, Russia, Japan, Australia, Canada, South Korea and the United States have launched the elimination of traditional high-energy products such as incandescent lamps and popularized the promotion of energy-saving lamps. The person also suggested that industry associations and government departments should actively function, timely report on the dynamics of foreign technical barriers, guide enterprises to actively respond to foreign technical barriers, and according to the current state of industrial development, properly improve the access threshold of China's domestic energy-saving lamp industry, and reasonable Guide enterprises to invest in the energy-saving lamp industry in an orderly manner to avoid blind expansion of production and increase production, resulting in a situation of excess industry.
