The mysterious Magic Leap has recently filed a new patent application.
Judging from the application documents they submitted to the US Patent Office, the patent application for the design part of the headset, "virtual or augmented reality head display can adjust the distance."
"Pitch distance" refers to the distance between the pupils of both eyes. The adjustment of the pupil distance is an important function of the VR or AR head display. When the head display transfers the picture to the front of the eye, the proper interpupillary distance will ensure that the pictures are exactly aligned with the eyes.
In addition to the adjustable interpupillary distance, the patent also shows that the head shape is lighter and some are close to our ordinary glasses.
Ergonomically, this is the most compact and compact design in the Magic Leap exposure document. Earlier in June, they had exposed patents on the design of the head display, but the appearance was larger than the current one, and some were like motorcycle helmets. However, Andy Fouche, the company's vice president of public relations, said to the outside media, "This design is not the final look of the product."
